1 cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour for a gluten-free option)
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup plain yogurt (Greek yogurt works great)
1/4 cup sugar (or honey for a natural sweetener)
Optional toppings: powdered sugar, chocolate glaze, sprinkles, cinnamon sugar
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir until well combined.
In another bowl, mix the yogurt and sugar (or honey) until smooth.
Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture into the yogurt mixture and stir gently just until combined.
Grease a donut pan with cooking spray or oil.
Spoon the batter into each donut shape, filling them about 2/3 full.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar, drizzle with chocolate glaze, or sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
