Ingredients
Scale:
1 ripe mango, peeled and diced
1 ripe banana, sliced (fresh or frozen)
1 cup fresh spinach, packed
1 cup fresh kale leaves, stems removed
1 cup coconut water (or almond milk)
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice (optional)
1 tablespoon chia seeds or flaxseeds (optional)
1 scoop plant-based protein powder (optional)
Sliced fresh fruit (mango, banana) for topping (optional)
Granola or nuts for topping (optional)
Shredded coconut for topping (optional)
Instructions
Start by peeling and dicing the mango. Make sure to remove the pit, which can be challenging, but a sharp knife will help! Next, slice the banana if it's fresh. If using frozen banana, there's no need to thaw it; it will blend beautifully frozen.
In a high-speed blender, combine the diced mango, banana, fresh spinach, and kale. Ensure the greens are well washed and dried to remove any grit or dirt that may affect the flavor of your smoothie.
Add the coconut water (or almond milk) to the blender.
If you're using chia seeds, flaxseeds, or protein powder, add them to the blender as well.
Secure the lid on the blender and blend on high speed for about 30-60 seconds, or until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
Taste the smoothie. If you prefer a tangy flavor, add the lime juice and blend again for a few seconds.
Pour the smoothie into a glass or bowl. If desired, add your favorite toppings like sliced fruit, granola, or shredded coconut.
