A refreshing Strawberry Cold Latte, a perfect blend of coffee and berry pairings, ideal for warm days when you crave a cool, creamy, and invigorating beverage.
Ingredients
Scale:
1 cup cold brew coffee
1 tablespoon sweetener of choice
1 cup fresh strawberries
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 cup milk of choice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Whipped cream (optional)
Mint leaves (optional)
Extra strawberry slices (optional)
Instructions
In a small saucepan, combine sliced strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the strawberries break down and the mixture thickens. Strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds and set aside to cool.
If you don’t have pre-made cold brew, steep coarsely ground coffee in cold water for 12-24 hours, then strain.
In a medium bowl, combine your chosen milk and vanilla extract. Stir until well blended. You can gently warm the milk to help the vanilla integrate better.
In a large glass, add ice cubes. Pour in the cold brew coffee, followed by the strawberry syrup. Gently pour the milk mixture over the back of a spoon to create a layered effect.
Stir in the sweetener of your choice as needed, adjusting to your preferred level of sweetness.
For café-style presentation, top with whipped cream, mint leaves, and strawberry slices. Optionally, drizzle some more strawberry syrup over the top.
