A delicious grilled shrimp recipe featuring a balanced marinade that infuses rich flavors into the shrimp, perfect for any seafood lover.
Ingredients
Scale:
1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Salt and black pepper to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
1 teaspoon fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)
Fresh lemon wedges for serving
Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients: smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Whisk them together to ensure an even distribution of spices.
Add the olive oil, lemon juice, and soy sauce to the bowl and mix well to create a marinade.
Transfer the peeled and deveined shrimp into the bowl with the marinade. Coat the shrimp thoroughly and let it marinate for at least 15-30 minutes.
Preheat your grill or a grill pan to medium-high heat. Oil the grates lightly to prevent sticking.
Once hot, place the marinated shrimp on the grill. Grill for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
Remove the shrimp from the grill and transfer to a serving platter. Garnish with chopped parsley and cilantro, if desired, and serve with lemon wedges.
