A delightful shrimp recipe that highlights various shrimp flavors through seasoning and cooking techniques.
Ingredients
Scale:
1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Juice of 1 lemon
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated.
Place the peeled and deveined shrimp in the marinade. Toss gently to coat each shrimp thoroughly and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
In a large skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium-high heat until the butter is melted and begins to bubble.
Add the marinated shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for approximately 2-3 minutes on one side without stirring.
Flip the shrimp over and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until opaque and fully cooked.
Remove the skillet from the heat. Sprinkle chopped parsley over the shrimp and serve immediately.
