Indulge in a delightful twist on a classic comfort food with this quick Blackberry Balsamic Grilled Cheese. The combination of creamy brie cheese and the tangy sweetness of blackberry balsamic creates a sandwich that's both savory and sweet, perfect for any lunch or snack craving.
Ingredients
Scale:
2 slices of rustic bread (like sourdough or ciabatta)
2 ounces brie cheese, sliced
1/4 cup fresh blackberries
1 tablespoon blackberry balsamic reduction
1 tablespoon unsalted butter, softened
Instructions
Gather all your ingredients in one place. Slice the brie cheese into approximately 1/4-inch thick pieces and set aside.
Lay the two slices of rustic bread flat on a clean surface. On one slice, arrange the brie cheese evenly.
Scatter the fresh blackberries on top of the cheese and drizzle the blackberry balsamic reduction over them.
Place the second slice of bread on top to create a sandwich, pressing down lightly.
Spread the softened unsalted butter generously on the outer sides of the sandwich.
Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
Once the skillet is hot, carefully place the sandwich in it. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side.
Carefully flip the sandwich and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the bread is golden and the brie is melty.
Remove the sandwich from the skillet and let it rest for a minute before slicing.
Slice the sandwich in half diagonally and serve warm.
