Instructions

  1. Prepare the Apple Mixture: In a medium bowl, combine the diced apples, cinnamon, lemon juice, and caramel sauce. Mix well to coat the apples evenly and set aside.
  2. Whip the Cream: In a large mixing bowl, pour in the heavy cream. Using an electric mixer, beat on medium speed until soft peaks form. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract while continuing to beat until stiff peaks form.
  3. Combine with Mascarpone: In another bowl, gently fold the mascarpone cheese into the whipped cream mixture.
  4. Assemble the Layers: Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled coffee, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy. Lay half of the soaked ladyfingers in the bottom of a 9x9-inch dish.
  5. Add the Apple Mixture: Spoon half of the apple mixture over the ladyfingers.
  6. Layer the Cream: Add half of the mascarpone cream mixture on top of the apples.
  7. Repeat the Layers: Continue the layering process with the remaining ladyfingers, followed by the remaining apple mixture, and finish with the remaining mascarpone cream.
  8. Chill the Tiramisu: Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  9. Serve: Before serving, drizzle additional caramel sauce on top and sprinkle chopped pecans or walnuts if desired.
