This recipe combines the smoky goodness of BBQ flavors with the sweet and tangy taste of grilled pineapple, creating a delightful balance that’s perfect for summer grilling.
Ingredients
Scale:
1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend for optimal juiciness)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
4 slices of bacon (thick-cut)
1 fresh pineapple, peeled, cored, and sliced into rings
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
4 burger buns (preferably brioche)
1 cup BBQ sauce
Fresh cilantro (optional)
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
Divide the meat mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties.
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy, about 6-8 minutes. Remove from the skillet and drain excess grease.
Grill the pineapple rings for about 3-4 minutes on each side until caramelized.
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 3 minutes. Add cheese on top during the last minute.
Spread BBQ sauce on the bottom half of each burger bun. Add the cheese-topped patty, a slice of grilled pineapple, and two slices of crispy bacon. Top with cilantro if desired.
Serve the burgers immediately with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
