Refreshing, creamy, and delicious, Brazilian limonade is a must-try beverage for anyone looking to quench their thirst with a tropical twist. This easy limonade recipe combines the tartness of fresh limes with the richness of condensed milk, creating a delightful drink perfect for summer gatherings or simply enjoying at home.
Ingredients
Scale:
4 large limes (preferably organic)
4 cups cold water (use filtered water)
1 cup sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
Fresh mint leaves (optional garnish)
Extra lime slices (optional garnish)
Instructions
Wash the limes thoroughly to remove any pesticides or wax. Cut the limes into quarters.
In a blender, combine the lime quarters, cold water, and granulated sugar. Blend on high speed for about 30 seconds.
Using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth, strain the blended mixture into a large pitcher to remove the pulp and lime skins.
Pour the freshly strained lime juice back into the blender. Add the sweetened condensed milk and blend again for another 15-20 seconds.
Taste the limonade and adjust the sweetness if necessary by adding more sugar or condensed milk. Blend briefly to incorporate.
Chill the limonade in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. Serve over ice in tall glasses, and garnish with fresh mint leaves and extra lime slices if desired.
