These delightful treats are not only easy to make, but they also let you enjoy the natural sweetness of fruits while keeping things fun and exciting.
Ingredients
Scale:
2 cups strawberries, hulled and sliced
2 cups bananas, sliced
2 cups blueberries
2 cups mango, diced
1 cup dark chocolate or vegan chocolate chips
1 cup coconut oil
2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (optional for sweetness)
Chopped nuts (almonds or pistachios)
Shredded coconut
Cocoa powder
Instructions
Rinse the fresh fruits under cold water. Hull and slice the strawberries, dice the mango, and slice the bananas. Place all the fruit into a large mixing bowl, gently tossing to combine.
In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil. Stir continuously until melted and smooth; this should take about 5-7 minutes. If desired, add honey or agave syrup for extra sweetness.
Dip each piece of fruit into the melted chocolate mixture, ensuring it's completely covered. Use a fork to lift the fruit out, allowing any excess chocolate to drip off.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange the coated fruit pieces on the sheet, leaving space between each piece.
While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle the coated fruits with chopped nuts, shredded coconut, or cocoa powder for added texture and flavor.
Transfer the baking sheet to the freezer. Freeze for at least 1-2 hours, or until the chocolate has completely hardened.
Once frozen, remove the candies from the baking sheet and store them in an airtight container in the freezer.
