These Healthy Brownies Protein Bites are not only delicious but also packed with protein, making them the perfect pre-workout energy boost or a guilt-free dessert.
Ingredients
Scale:
1 cup almond flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder (unsweetened)
1/4 cup protein powder (chocolate or vanilla)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup almond butter (or peanut butter)
1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup almond milk (or another non-dairy milk)
1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (optional)
Chopped nuts or shredded coconut (optional)
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients: almond flour, cocoa powder, protein powder, salt, and baking powder. Whisk them together until they are well blended, ensuring there are no lumps.
In a separate bowl, mix the wet ingredients: almond butter, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, and almond milk. Stir until smooth and creamy.
Pour the wet mixture into the bowl of dry ingredients. Using a spatula, fold the ingredients together until fully combined.
If you choose to add chocolate chips or nuts, fold them in at this stage.
Line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper. Spread the brownie mixture evenly into the dish.
Place the dish in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the batter to firm up.
After chilling, carefully remove the brownies from the dish using the parchment paper. Cut them into bite-sized squares or bars.
Store the Healthy Brownies Protein Bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week, or freeze for longer storage.
