Ingredients
Scale:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 ripe bananas, sliced
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 cup pecans, chopped (optional)
Cinnamon sugar for sprinkling
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Ensure your oven rack is in the center for the best heat distribution.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir well.
In another bowl, mix the wet ingredients: milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Add this mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
Spread the batter evenly in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
In a separate bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, brown sugar, and lemon juice. Blend until smooth.
Gently fold the banana slices into the cream cheese mixture.
Spoon the banana and cream cheese mixture over the batter in the baking dish.
Sprinkle chopped pecans and cinnamon sugar over the top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
Allow the cobbler to cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.
