Instructions

  1. Start by laying out the slices of bread on a clean surface. Spread a generous layer of softened butter on one side of each slice.
  2. On the unbuttered side of one slice, layer the cheese slices, followed by the dill pickle slices. Spread your tangy sandwich spread on the unbuttered side of the other slice before placing it on top.
  3. Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Place the sandwich in the skillet, buttered side down. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown.
  5. Carefully flip the sandwich using a spatula. Cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes, pressing down lightly.
  6. Check for doneness; the sandwich is ready when both sides are golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
  7. Remove from skillet and let cool for a minute before slicing in half. Serve warm.
