Instructions
Wash all fruits and herbs thoroughly. Slice the lemon, lime, cucumber, and strawberries into thin pieces. Thinly slice the ginger if using. Ensure all slices are even to promote uniform flavor release.
In a large pitcher, add the sliced fruits, cucumber, and ginger. Gently bruise the mint and basil leaves by clapping them between your hands to release their natural oils and add them to the pitcher.
Pour the cold water over the ingredients in the pitcher. Add ice cubes if desired for extra chill. Ensure the water fully covers all the ingredients to maximize the infusion process.
Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, allowing the flavors to fully infuse. For a stronger taste, let it sit overnight. You can taste the water periodically to check if the flavors are to your liking.
