Instructions
In a bowl, combine olive oil, shawarma spice blend, yogurt, cumin, paprika, turmeric, garlic powder, onion powder, coriander, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Mix well to form a paste.
Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring each piece is fully coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, ideally overnight.
In a separate bowl, combine mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, and salt. Mix thoroughly and adjust seasoning as necessary.
Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
Remove the chicken from the marinade and grill for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and juices run clear.
Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes.
Using a sharp knife, slice the grilled chicken into thin strips.
Place a few slices of chicken on a pita bread. Top with garlic sauce, fresh parsley, cucumbers, tomatoes, pickles, and onions. Wrap tightly.
Enjoy your Chicken Shawarma with Garlic Sauce warm, alongside additional garlic sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
